They call it Independence Day, and yet I have been dependent on Mucinex and ibuprofen to function at all, due to the scratching in my throat, and the copious goop which simultaneously plugs up and drains out of my nostrils.
So while some of you were grilling steaks and hot dogs this afternoon, I was merrily painting up the bedroom. One wall is painted Guacamole, which, appropriately, is the color of avocado skin. The other walls are Hampton Green, which is kind of a yellowy-green color. Not entirely unlike the crap I've been blowing out of my nose all day.
Food was a little disorganized due to having to fit it in between pulling carpet and painting the walls.
So - breakfast was coffee and a zucchini pancakes (seriously, they're pretty good). Lunch was mac n cheese and a yogurt, while dinner was cheese biscuits (really soft cheese scones for you folks in UKLand), milk and a coupe of zucchini mini-muffins.
Feel tired and too crappy to go walking this evening, especially since the painting isn't finished yet and we're supposed to be sleeping in that room tonight. Perhaps tomorrow will be less exhausting. I really don't know how Jen is preparing for a full week at work next week - maybe it's because work will feel like a break from the weekend.
